UPDATE: December 18, 2025 The Commission has voted to approve the 2026 Standards for Accreditation, which will go into effect on July 1, 2026.
For the past 18 months, the Commission has engaged in its decennial revision of its Standards for Accreditation. At its Business Meeting on December 12, 2025, the membership voted to endorse the 2026 Standards for Accreditation.
The 2026 Standards for Accreditation reflect the collective voice of the membership. We are grateful to everyone who participated in a regional meeting, Zoom conversation, or provided email feedback to the Commission. This version of the Standards includes numerous revisions based on that feedback and is stronger thanks to our members. We believe the 2026 Standards for Accreditation will help guide our work and ensure quality and continuous improvement for the next decade.
The final step of the revision process is for the Commission to vote to approve the 2026 Standards for Accreditation, which will go into effect on July 1, 2026. The Commission will vote the week of December 15, 2025. We will update this post once the vote is final.
