For the past 18 months, the Commission has engaged in its decennial revision of its Standards for Accreditation. At its meeting last week, the Commission moved to send the NECHE 2026 Standards for Accreditation to the membership for a vote of endorsement.
The 2026 Standards for Accreditation reflect the collective voice of the membership. We are grateful to everyone who participated in a regional meeting, Zoom conversation, or provided email feedback to the Commission. This version of the Standards includes numerous revisions based on that feedback and is stronger thanks to our members. We believe the 2026 Standards for Accreditation will help guide our work and ensure quality and continuous improvement for the next decade.
The final step of the revision process is for the members to vote to endorse the 2026 Standards for Accreditation. This vote will take place at NECHE’s Annual Business Meeting on December 12, 2025 at 9:00 am at the Sheraton Boston Hotel in Boston, MA.
