The Commission is pleased to share a draft of NECHE’s 2026 Standards for Accreditation. As you may recall, the Commission began its decennial review in June 2024 and, in Fall 2024, Commission staff held nine regional meetings to gather input from its members. Since that time, the Commission has been working to prepare a draft of the proposed new Standards to share with its membership and members of the public. It is those proposed Standards we are now able to share with you for comment. Commission staff will again convene a number of meetings – in person and virtually – this coming Fall 2025 to gather input and we also welcome any and all written comments. Please share those comments to this email, Standardsreview@neche.org, by October 15, 2025 so that the Commission can consider them as it prepares a final set of Standards to be presented for approval by its members at NECHE’s December, 2025 Annual Meeting. The new Standards will then go into effect July 1, 2026. Please stay tuned for the times and dates of our Fall sessions.
