PRIORITIES

1. Work with local, state and federal public health agencies to improve demographic information in public health data systems, to improve understanding of the health status of diverse communities and the nature, causes, and changes over time in health disparities;
2. Improve the organizational capacity of diverse minority communities throughout New England to participate in public health policy formulation, deliver public health services, and compete for federal and state funding for programs;
3. Encourage and facilitate the participation of diverse communities throughout New England at the local, state and federal levels in the formulation of public health policy and development of public health programs.
